Allied Motion Owosso, Michigan

Allied Motion Owosso has been designing and building electric motors in Mid-Michigan since 1928. We were acquired in 2002 and our name was changed from Motor Products Corp to Allied Motion. We have 53 employees and over half of them have more than twenty years of service. We attribute this to quality products designed and produced, the integrity of our culture being honest and having strong moral principles, and the family atmosphere our employees have created here.

We design and build brushed and brushless DC electrical motors used in a variety of industries and applications. Our products are used in the agricultural, construction, medical, and aerospace and defense industries. The motors are used for mobile HVAC pumps, gear motors, and linear actuators to mention a few applications.

Owosso is centrally located in Michigan with quick access to Michigan’s many lakes, rivers, and wooded Northern Michigan providing four season outdoor fun. We are also less than 90 minutes from the center of Detroit’s downtown sport’s team venues. Owosso is the home of Curwood Castle from novelist James Oliver Curwood and The Steam Railroading Institute featuring the North Pole Express.

As a technology-based company, engineering expertise is key to our continued success. This includes design engineering as well as manufacturing engineering. Our guiding principle is utilizing Allied Systematic Tools (AST) to build an efficient and productive business. With the resources of the greater Allied footprint and a diverse customer base, we find ourselves working with Allied team members and customers across the globe.
