Founded in 1961, Trans-Coil continues to grow and expand into new technologies. Beginning as a small contracted company for winding contactors and blowout coils for a locomotive switchgear, Trans-Coil now employs over 140 employees and manufacturers their own proprietary products worldwide.

As the company began to evolve, the product offerings also evolved.  In 1985, Trans-Coil changed their name to TCI to reflect their new position in the industry and align with their new image. With the 1986 release of the "SineGuard" three phase Line Filters TCI moved into a new era of marketing and manufacturing of proprietary and patented products. Design of the "HarmonicGuard" filter began in 1990 and TCI became a UL certified panel shop in 1993. In 2018, TCI was purchased by the current owners, Allied Motion Technologies. The launch of our new PQconnect Bluetooth application to monitor harmonic mitigation has allowed our customers to access their data via a phone app or desktop application. 

The team at TCI continues to grow, develop, and manufacture new technologies for the following industries: Oil and Gas, Water/Wastewater, HVAC, Irrigation, Food and Beverage and Industrial markets. With the continued growth, TCI will be expanding their current 66,000 sq. ft. location in Germantown, WI to add an additional 33,000 square feet.
