Allied Motion Amherst, New York

In 2014 our CEO, Dick Warzala, moved Allied Motion’s headquarters from Denver, Colorado to Amherst, NY.    Our Amherst office consists of 12,000 square feet of office and electronics manufacturing space. With approximately 55 employees here, our headquarters hosts primarily administrative, IT, finance, sales, and marketing, along with application engineering and our Global Electronics engineering group.

Amherst has two engineering teams – the GET (Global Electronics Team) has 7 local members and the NASC (North American Solution Center) has 4 local members.  The facilities include engineering labs and small-scale electronics manufacturing.

The local Global Electronics Team delivers electronics hardware and software solutions for products used around the world in our target markets, as well as other legacy product and platform support for nearly every Allied Motion TU.  This includes drive designs ranging from 12-volt DC to 230 VAC, power from < 100 watts to several kilowatts, embedded software as well as GUIs. 

The local North American Solution Center (NASC) team is responsible for applications and systems engineering. They match global Allied Motion products to various applications in North America, providing cost effective solutions with little to minimal modification. They perform both simple applications sizing analysis, as well as more complex systems design and integration.

As a suburb of Buffalo, NY, Amherst is a 15-minute drive to Niagara Falls and to the Canadian border. We are a sports-centric city and have been continuously ranked as being one of the best food destinations in the United States. We are also home to the original chicken wings! One great thing about Buffalo is that we have all four seasons of climate: fall, winter, spring, and summer. This makes Amherst a great city to enjoy all types of outdoor activities, including hiking and fishing, golf, skiing, snowboarding, boating and many more.
